🍷 Guild Wars 2 Best Class For Solo Pve
Necro is very strong contender, with all 3 elites playing somewhat different and offer varying damage and support options. Medium classes, I think all 3 are in good place. Thief have 3 variants with distinct game play and relatively good viability. Engi elites are also very distinct and serve different roles.
Skil 2 - Bow of Truth - A core Guardian Spirit Weapon skill that summons a spirit bow that shoots an AoE healing spell at a targeted area. Skill 3 - Mantra of Lore - A Firebrand Mantra skill that cleanses conditions from you and your allies with the addition of a Regeneration buff. Elite Skill - “Feel My Wrath!”.
Mesmer PvE. The Split Surge Mirage is a mesmer build for open world PvE that sustains itself by dodging A LOT. Dodging creates clones and enables you and those clones to use Ambush skills which improve the 1 skill of each weapon. On Dagger, the Ambush skill is a daze which can apply tons of vulnerability and grant you quickness due to the
Posted September 16, 2017. Ranger is a good choice as blam said. Though I would recommend necro before ranger. For open world pve, a necro can do just about anything, solo anything, etc. I would recommend going zerk + scholar runes, and running a power build (unless you want to do high level end-game content, then condi would be a bit better).
So I just returned and have an 80 Ele and 80 Necro. I’m curious how Mesmer fares currently in the various content. Im thinking about leveling one or boosting one to 80. I’m trying to figure out which I’m going to main going forward. I like the necro better than the ele. It feels like the ele requires much more work for less payoff.
You can solo bounties/HP champs with any class, I'm sure. But certainly some seem to have an easier time of it. Without having tried them all for this purpose I can't say for certain, but having done about 80% of the PoF bounties solo (including legendaries) and 100% of the HoT HP champions, Mirage is pretty well set up to do it.
I like necro for asura. Your small in size, but you make up for that with stealing life force and controlling undead minions. For PvE I tend to go with a class that has blast finishers. The asura racial skill Radiation Field applies poison and weakness, and blast+poison equals even more weakness. The Norn-class.

A lot of PVE class discussion on here revolves around high end PVE content, mainly Tier 4 Fractals, Strikes, and Raids. In high end PVE, you will never play ranged for the most part, even if you're using a ranged weapon, because DPS stack on each other in melee range to receive buffs.
A mostly Air focused elementalist build for open world, the Fresh Air Tempest has massive area of effect spells, single target burst, and great defensive utilities to keep them alive. The Fresh Air trait allows you to incur the 20 second cooldown from Overloading Air Attunement but recharge it the instant you crit outside of Air Attunement.
